Technical Account Manager – Europe North and Middle East

Position Description

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for growing the business within current and new accounts in a designated region for the whole ScelReady platform by closely interacting with customers and colleagues making sure the clients are in focus. The TAM will work closely with the Field Application Specialist in the region as well as with colleagues globally to support key accounts. As TAM, you will interact with key opinion leaders from academic centers as well as industry leaders in biotech and pharma business. As a person, you are outgoing, work independently but as part of a bigger team, dedicated to supporting the growing cell therapy business. This position is home office based and will include travelling  ~20% of your time.

 

Key Responsiblities

  • Efficiently and creatively utilizing internal resources to become a trusted source of information to Cell and Gene Therapy customers and prospective customers
  • Explaining and delivering technical introductions and value propositions for all ScaleReady products
  • Tailor recommendations for each customer for the relevant ScaleReady offerings
  • Preparation and distribution, both internally and externally, of highly important (and often highly confidential) documents while vigilantly practicing good data security practices
  • Developing intimate knowledge of customer manufacturing operations with an eye on opportunities to suggest improvements
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies in partnership with the local FAS for existing relationships
  • Building strong relationships through prompt written and verbal communication with customers
  • Monitoring important customer communication channels and providing ad hoc customer service via email, telephone, or video conferencing platforms
  • Promoting customer satisfaction by ensuring timely completion of quotes, proposals, inquiry responses, complaint responses, order processing, and after-sales support utilizing all available resources
  • Accurately and tenaciously maintaining the ScaleReady customer relationship management instances, chronicling customer interactions and events, with the purpose of providing reports that demonstrate progress towards mission success.
  • Handling customer issues and coordinating as needed with internal support teams with the partner companies to provide a timely response to resolve to satisfaction
  • Maintaining awareness of competitive products and their impact upon ScaleReady offerings
  • Accurately forecast customer demand across all portfolio products
  • Participating in the identification and selection of marketing opportunities, such as trade shows, website & online promotions, advertising, technical brochures, user group meetings, etc.
  • Attending industry meetings and conferences on occasion as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Life Sciences such as Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine
  • Previous sales experience is desired
  • Hands on cell culture lab experience is preffered
  • Proven history of self-management
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Fluent in local language, exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
