Neoantigen-targeted CD8+ T cell responses with PD-1 blockade therapy
The study analyses neoantigen-specific T cells in melanoma patients. Isolated neoTCRs were engineered into donor T cells, which were expanded in 24-well G-Rex plates. The expanded cells were used to validate TCR specificity and cytotoxicity against autologous tumor cell lines.

Potently neutralizing human mAbs against the zoonotic pararubulavirus Sosuga virus
The study isolates neutralizing human mAbs against Sosuga virus from a survivor. Hybridoma cell lines secreting these mAbs were expanded in 6-well G-Rex plates to produce sufficient antibodies for purification and subsequent functional characterization.

Assessment of anti-CD20 antibody pre-treatment for augmentation of CAR-T cell therapy in SIV-infected rhesus macaques
This study evaluates anti-CD20 pre-treatment for enhancing SIV-specific CAR-T cell therapy in macaques. CAR-T cells were manufactured using G-Rex 6-well plates for expansion. While anti-CD20 treatment increased initial CAR-T expansion, the cells failed to persist long-term, and viral loads were not significantly affected.

Technological and Manufacturing Innovation Drive Improved Access to Engineered T Cell Therapies
The paper presents a low-cost, point-of-care CAR-T manufacturing process. It uses the Sepax C-Pro for cell processing and G-Rex devices for cell expansion. The study demonstrates that this simplified workflow produces highly functional CAR-T cells, comparable to standard methods, supporting decentralized production.

Extracellular Vesicles from Immune Cells: A Biomedical Perspective
This review explores the role of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) derived from various immune cells. It highlights a protocol using G-Rex to produce and isolate large amounts of human NK cell-derived sEVs, demonstrating their potential for clinical application in cancer therapy.

Process engineering of natural killer cell-based immunotherapy
This review discusses the biomanufacturing of NK cell therapies, covering cell sources, expansion methods, and process control. It identifies G-Rex as a commonly used culture system for clinical-scale NK cell production due to their gas-permeable membranes, facilitating efficient cell expansion.

Activated T cell therapy targeting glioblastoma cancer stem cells
The study develops an activated T cell (ATC) therapy targeting glioblastoma cancer stem cells. It compares antigen sources, finding synthetic peptide pools most effective. T cells were co-cultured with antigen-loaded dendritic cells in G-Rex 100 containers for activation and rapid proliferation over 12 days.

Persistence of spike-specific immune responses in BNT162b2-vaccinated donors and generation of rapid ex-vivo T cells expansion protocol for adoptive immunotherapy: A pilot study
This study characterizes humoral and T cell responses to the BNT162b2 vaccine. It establishes a rapid 11-day ex-vivo expansion protocol for spike-specific T cells using G-Rex 10 devices, demonstrating significant fold expansion and functional enhancement for potential adoptive immunotherapy.

Identification of a small molecule for enhancing lentiviral transduction of T cells
High-throughput screening identified a small molecule, GSK2622391, that enhances lentiviral transduction efficiency in T cells. The compound improves vector copy number without negatively impacting cell viability or function. G-Rex plates were used for T cell expansion during small-scale validation experiments.

Metabolic reprogramming via an engineered PGC-1α improves human chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy against solid tumors
The study shows that overexpression of an engineered PGC-1α improves the metabolic fitness and anti-tumor efficacy of CAR-T cells. During in vitro culture, cells were transferred to G-Rex 6M Well Plates for rapid expansion.

Current status of red blood cell manufacturing in 3D culture and bioreactors
This review covers various bioreactor systems for red blood cell production. It specifically references the use of G-Rex for the expansion of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PB MNCs) in its summary of 3D scaffolds and bioreactors.

Signaling via a CD28/CD40 chimeric costimulatory antigen receptor (CoStAR™), targeting folate receptor alpha, enhances T cell activity and augments tumor reactivity of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes
The study demonstrates that CoStAR, a chimeric costimulatory receptor, enhances the effector function of T cells and TILs. Transgene-expressing cells and TILs were expanded using G-Rex plates, including G-Rex 6M, as part of the rapid expansion protocol.
